Northerns Cricket Umpires Association
Even if you just wish to umpire at your son or daughter's
school or score for your local club's men’s or women's team, you
are as vital to the game to us as any first class or provincial
official, and so we welcome you warmly and wholeheartedly, male
or female.
We aim to develop competent umpires and scorers to control and
guide cricket matches at every level 'From Playground to Test
Arena'. The commitment from us is to provide a 'pathway' - to enable
you to progress at whatever pace you prefer to whatever level you
wish.
To achieve all this we operate as an independent association with
the wholehearted support of the NCU and CSA and have a small team of
our own executives, so that you are supported and represented by
them and that your individual voice and views can be expressed to
them and heard by us.

Dear NCUA Member
Compliments of the season and wishing you and yours all the best
for 2012! May it be a year where all your goals are fulfilled
amidst a deluge of fond umpiring moments.
Please be advised that the next training session will be held on
9,10,12,16 and 17 January with the exam on 19 January.
Commencing at 18h00 and ending at 21h00 this invaluable
opportunity allows members to learn from seasoned umpires about
our trade whilst affording an opportunity to ask questions and
interact with those in the know. The course is designed for
those umpires that will be writing exams as well as those that
require a refresher before the second half of the season starts.
If you have been ear-marked to write an exam please note that an
80% attendance is a non-negotiable requirement.
